Marriage. For some it is necessity, some do it for their parents, and some plainly run away from it. But let’s agree on one thing, majority of us are going to get married some day or the other. So better face it than running away, and make the most of our “FREEDOM”. Here is a bucket list of things to do before you get hooked up for life!
1.Go wild. Go crazy- Obviously you don’t need marriage as an excuse to get wild, but the feeling you get doing uber random stuff before getting married is just amazing. So go to a karaoke night or a house party and lose yourself.
2.Take a solo road trip- Solo road trips are fun! And it makes you learn a lot about yourself. Give yourself away to the mountains, switch your phone off and enjoy.
3.Burn all the letters from your ex- Why carry the burden from past when you can enjoy a big bonfire out of it. Treat in winters, isn’t it?
4.Make peace with your parents- Remember all the mischief of yours they had to handle. Say sorry for that. Make peace with them, as they are going to be the constant support for you after your marriage.
5.Complete your post-graduation- Complete all your degrees before your attention gets divided amongst your new family.
6.Learn to love yourself- Be comfortable in your own skin and love to enjoy your own company too!
7.Learn to trust other people- Just because the old one was a psychopath or a jerk doesn’t mean that the one in future will be the same. Give it time and learn to trust.
8.Go on a bachelor trip- Take all your girlies along with you and enjoy some gala time with them. That will be one week of pure bliss and relief.
9.Learn how to cook- “Because offering people gum is not cooking” as Chandler says it on Friends. Be self-independent.
10.Experiment with your looks- Get that small haircut, neon shades, slit cut dresses, and what not. Go crazy before your man’s family start putting prohibitions.
11.Get some idea what kind of a guy do you want to end up with- Mature, sweet or emotional. Figure out what kind of a guy you are looking for or want your parents to look for you.
12.Convince your parents- If you are thinking for an inter-caste or love marriage, talk and convince your parents. But be 100% sure before taking this step.
13.Try every platform to find your dream man- Find your type of guy on matrimonial websites. Search according to castes, for e.g. Chennai Matrimony, Maratha Matrimony or
Bengali Matrimony etc.
